Scientists, researchers, and tourists have seen icebergs in Antarctica. Scientists and researchers often study the icebergs as part of their research on climate change and glaciology. Tourists also have the opportunity to see icebergs on cruises to Antarctica, where they can witness the stunning beauty of these massive ice formations. **

Ships sinking due to icebergs is a rare occurrence. Since the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, there have been very few incidents of ships sinking as a result of colliding with icebergs. This is largely due to advancements in technology, such as radar and satellite tracking, which help ships to detect and avoid icebergs. Additionally, stricter regulations and guidelines for navigating through iceberg-prone areas have also contributed to the decrease in ship sinkings caused by icebergs. **

Icebergs and ice cubes float on top of water because ice is less dense than liquid water. When water freezes, its molecules form a crystalline structure that spaces them out, making ice less dense than liquid water. This means that ice takes up more space for the same amount of mass, causing it to float. This property of ice is crucial for the survival of aquatic life in cold environments, as it insulates the water below and allows life to thrive. **
